Atorvastatin is used with a proper diet to help reduce “bad” cholesterol and fat (such as LDL, triglycerides) and enhances “good” cholesterol (HDL) in the blood. It is related to a group of drugs called “statins”. It works by reducing the amount of cholesterol produced by the liver. Reducing cholesterol and triglycerides and reducing “good” cholesterol reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease and helps prevent stroke and heart attack.

How To Use Atorvastatin

Take Atorvastatin with or without mouth directed by your doctor, usually daily once daily.
