Uses
Nifedipine is used to prevent some type of chest pain (angina). This can allow you to exercise more and reduce the frequency of angina attacks. Nifedipine is related to a class of drugs known as calcium channel blockers. It works by resting the blood vessels so that the blood flows more easily. This drug should be taken regularly to be effective. When they are there, it should not be used to treat chest pain attacks. Use other drugs (such as sublingual nitroglycerin) to relieve chest pain attacks as directed by your doctor. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for details.

How to use Nifedipine
